     2nd Lieutenant Edward John Younger was born on 1 July 1882.1 He was the son of George Younger, 1st Viscount Younger of Leckie and Lucy Smith.1 He died on 23 December 1901 at age 19, killed in action.1
     2nd Lieutenant Edward John Younger gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the 16th lancers.1 He fought in the Boer War.1

     Lieutenant Charles Frearson Younger was born on 9 September 1885.1 He was the son of George Younger, 1st Viscount Younger of Leckie and Lucy Smith.1 He married Marjory Caroline Murray, daughter of Thomas Middleton Murray, on 23 June 1913.1 He died on 21 March 1917 at age 31, killed in action.1
     Lieutenant Charles Frearson Younger graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Lothians and Border Horse.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Neil Malcolm, 13th of Poltalloch was born on 5 November 1797.2 He was the son of Neil Malcolm, 12th of Poltalloch and Mary Anne Orme.2 He married, firstly, Harriet Mary Clarke-Jervoise, daughter of Sir Samuel Clarke-Jervoise, 1st Bt., on 14 July 1831.2 He married, secondly, Louisa Shirley, daughter of Evelyn John Shirley and Eliza Stanhope, on 2 September 1843.1 He died on 2 October 1857 at age 59.1
