     Henry Evelyn Alexander Dewar, 3rd Baron Forteviot was born on 23 February 1906.2 He was the son of John Alexander Dewar, 1st Baron Forteviot and Margaret Elizabeth Holland. He married Cynthia Monica Starkie, daughter of Piers Cecil Le Gendre Starkie and Cicely de Hoghton, on 25 April 1933.1 He died on 25 March 1993 at age 87.2
     Henry Evelyn Alexander Dewar, 3rd Baron Forteviot gained the title of 3rd Baron Forteviot.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.2 He was chairman of John Dewar & Sons between 1954 and 1976.2
