     Georg Friedrich Graf zu Solms-Laubach was born on 7 March 1899.² He was the son of Otto Graf zu Solms-Laubach and Emma Prinzessin zu Ysenburg und Büdingen in Büdingen. He married Johanna Marie Gräfin zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich, daughter of Carl Fürst zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich and Emma Prinzessin zu Stolberg-Wernigerode, in 1924. He died on 13 May 1969 at age 70.²
     He gained the title of Graf zu Solms-Laubach.
