     He gained the title of HH Prince Oluf of Denmark.3 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the service of the Royal Danish Air Force.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Elephant of Denmark.1 He was created Count af Rosenborg [Denmark] on 13 January 1948.2,1 He abdicated as Prince of Denmark on 13 January 1948.1 He lived in 1976 at Strandboulevarden 6, Copenhagen, Denmark.1

     Inge Terney was born on 21 January 1938 at Copenhagen, Denmark.1 She was the daughter of Georg Terney and Jenny Kamilla Hansen.2 She married Ingolf zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Prince of Denmark, son of Knud Christian Frederik Michael zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Hereditary Prince of Denmark and Caroline Mathilde zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Denmark, on 13 January 1968 at Lyngby, Copenhagen, Denmark.1 She died on 21 July 1996 at age 58 at Egeland, Kolding, Denmark.
      From 13 January 1968, her married name became af Rosenborg.1 As a result of her marriage, Inge Terney was styled as Countess af Rosenborg.

He married Wibke van Gunsteren, daughter of Dr. Hans Daniel Christians and Ursula Schmidt-Prange, on 23 May 1969 in a civil marriage.1 Welf Ernst and Wibke were also married in a religious ceremony on 25 May 1969 at Essen-Bredeney, Germany. He died on 10 January 1981 at age 33 at Poona, India.1
     He gained the title of HRH Prince Welf of Hanover.1 He was given the name of Welf Ernst August Andreas Philipp Georg Wilhelm Ludwig Berthold Hanover at birth.1
