     Ernst Wilhelm Friedrich Carl Maximilian VII Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg was born on 13 September 1863 at Langenburg, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.2 He was the son of Hermann Ernst Franz Bernhard VI Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Leopoldine Wilhelmine Pauline Amalie Maximiliane Prinzessin von Baden.2 He married Alexandra Louise Olga Victoria Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Alexandra of Edinburgh, daughter of Alfred Ernest Albert Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, 1st and last Duke of Edinburgh and Mariya Aleksandrovna Romanov, Grand Duchess of Russia, on 20 April 1896 at Coburg, Bayern, Germany.1 He died on 11 December 1950 at age 87 at Langenburg, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.2
     He gained the title of Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg.1 He gained the title of 7th Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg on 9 March 1913.1,3
