     Margaret Craig is the daughter of Sir Thomas Craig, 1st of Riccarton and Helen Heriot.2,3 She married Sir Alexander Gibson, Lord Durie, son of George Gibson of Goldingstones and Elizabeth Airth, on 14 January 1596.1
     From 14 January 1596, her married name became Gibson.

Sir Alexander Gibson of Durie1

     Sir Alexander Gibson of Durie was the son of Sir Alexander Gibson, Lord Durie and Margaret Craig.2 He married Marjory Hamilton.3 He married Cecilia Fotheringham, daughter of Thomas Fotheringham, 9th of Powrie and Elizabeth Wemyss, in 1625.1 He died in June 1656.1
     He held the office of Lord Clerk Register in 1641.1 He was appointed Knight in 1641.2 He was styled as Lord Durie [Scottish Law Lord] in 1646.2 He held the office of Lord of Session between 1646 and 1649.1 In 1649 he was deprived of his offices.2 He had three other sons.2

     Thomas Fotheringham, 9th of Powrie was the son of Thomas Fotheringham, 8th of Powrie and Helen Lindsay.2 He married, firstly, Barbara Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott, 11th of Balwearie and Janet Lindsay.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Wemyss before 2 June 1608.2 He died circa 1609.2
     He lived at Powrie, Forfarshire, ScotlandG.1
