     Colonel Edward John Patrick FitzGerald Macartney-Filgate was born on 17 March 1865.1 He was the son of Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate and Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald.2 He married Bertha Eugenie Lomax, daughter of John Lomax, in January 1892.1 He died on 10 June 1927 at age 62 at GibraltarG.1
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was a practising Barrister-at-law.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Irish Rifles.1 He gained the rank of commander in the 12th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers.1 He lived at Hillbrook, Castleknock, County Dublin, IrelandG.1

     Bertha Eugenie Lomax was the daughter of John Lomax.2 She married Colonel Edward John Patrick FitzGerald Macartney-Filgate, son of Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate and Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald, in January 1892.1 She died on 14 October 1945.1
     From January 1892, her married name became Macartney-Filgate.

John Victor Openshaw Macartney-Filgate was born on 20 May 1897.1 He was the son of Colonel Edward John Patrick FitzGerald Macartney-Filgate and Bertha Eugenie Lomax.2 He married Beatrice Helen Angela Neville, daughter of Sir Reginald James Neville Neville, 1st Bt. and Ida Henderson, on 16 December 1920.1 He died on 23 July 1964 at age 67.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He was a merchant banker.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1945.1 He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Bankers (F.I.B.)1 He lived at Slough House, Danbury, Essex, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1964.1

     Sir Reginald James Neville Neville, 1st Bt. was born on 22 February 1863 at Bombay, India.2 He was the son of James Sewell Neville and Emelyn Anna Stogdon.3 He married, firstly, Ida Henderson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Edmund Yeamans Walcott Henderson, in 1890.3 He married, secondly, Violet Sophia Mary Baines, daughter of Lt.-Col. Cuthbert Johnson Baines, in 1920.2 He died on 28 April 1950 at age 87.2
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.3 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1884 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1887 entitled to practise as a barrister-in-law.3 He held the office of Recorder of Bury St. Edmunds between 1905 and 1943.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigan between 1910 and 1918.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk, East Division between 1924 and 1929.3 He was director of Gas Light and Coke Company between 1925 and 1944.3 He was created 1st Baronet Neville, of Sloley, co. Norfolk [U.K.] on 2 July 1927.3 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1948 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3

John Victor Openshaw Macartney-Filgate and Beatrice Helen Angela Neville.2 He married, firstly, Deborah De Falco Dresser, daughter of Ivan Dresser, on 12 January 1946.1 He and Deborah De Falco Dresser were divorced in 1963.1 He married, secondly, Nancy Ellen Schuster, daughter of Charles Schuster, on 1 May 1966.1 He died on 16 September 1969 at age 46.1
