Colonel Sir Alexander Campbell of Aberuchill, 6th Bt. was born on 10 August 1841 at Stoke Hall, Newark, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir James Campbell of Aberuchill, 5th Bt. and Caroline Bromley.2 He married, firstly, Edith Frances Arabella Jauncey, daughter of Captain Alexander Sidney Godolphin Jauncey, on 8 February 1871.3 He married, secondly, Annie Augusta Mitford, daughter of Robert Henry Mitford, on 4 October 1893.3 He was also reported to have been married on 6 February 1871.3 He died on 23 May 1914 at age 72.3
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1861, in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He retired from the military in 1894, with the rank of Colonel, late of the Royal Artillery.3 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Campbell, of Aberuchill [N.S., 1668] on 27 March 1903.3

Edith Frances Arabella Jauncey was the daughter of Captain Alexander Sidney Godolphin Jauncey.1 She married Colonel Sir Alexander Campbell of Aberuchill, 6th Bt., son of Sir James Campbell of Aberuchill, 5th Bt. and Caroline Bromley, on 8 February 1871.2 She was also reported to have been married on 6 February 1871.2 She died on 29 January 1884.2
