     Sir John Williams, 1st Bt. was the son of Bennett Williams and Sarah Hesketh.1 He married Margaret Williams, daughter of Hugh Williams, on 21 October 1791.2 He died on 9 October 1830.2
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Flintshire in 1794.2 He was created 1st Baronet Williams, of Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire [Great Britain] on 24 July 1798.2

     Margaret Williams was the daughter of Hugh Williams. She married Sir John Williams, 1st Bt., son of Bennett Williams and Sarah Hesketh, on 21 October 1791.1 She died on 6 March 1835.1

Sir John Hay-Williams, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir John Hay-Williams, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 January 1794.2 He was the son of Sir John Williams, 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams.2 He married Lady Sarah Elizabeth Pitt Amherst, daughter of William Pitt Amherst, 1st Earl Amherst of Arracan and Hon. Sarah Archer, on 8 September 1842.1 He died on 10 September 1859 at age 65.2
     He was given the name of John Hay Williams at birth.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Williams, of Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire [G.B., 1798] on 9 October 1830.2 On 12 May 1842 his name was legally changed to John Hay-Williams by Royal Licence.2

     William Williams was born on 20 September 1805.2 He was the son of Sir John Williams, 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams.1 He married, firstly, Arabella Pretyman, daughter of Reverend George Thomas Pretyman, on 30 June 1855.2 He married, secondly, Marion Scott, daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Henry Scott and Hon. Harriett Alethea Stanley, on 3 August 1871.1 He died on 18 August 1892 at age 86.2

Arabella Pretyman

     Arabella Pretyman was the daughter of Reverend George Thomas Pretyman.1 She married William Williams, son of Sir John Williams, 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams, on 30 June 1855.2 She died in 1867, without issue.2
     Her married name became Williams.

     Maj.-Gen. William Henry Scott was born in 1789.2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. William Scott and Anne Blackett.2 He married Hon. Harriett Alethea Stanley, daughter of John Thomas Stanley, 1st Baron Stanley of Alderley and Hon. Maria Josepha Holroyd, on 20 August 1835.3 He died in 1868.2
