     Captain Hon. Lawrence Ughtred Kay-Shuttleworth was born on 21 September 1887.2 He was the son of Ughtred James Kay-Shuttleworth, 1st Baron Shuttleworth and Blanche Marion Parish.1,2 He married Selina Adine Bridgeman, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hon. Francis Charles Bridgeman and Gertrude Cecilia Hanbury, on 1 February 1913.1 He died on 30 March 1917 at age 29 at Vimy Ridge, FranceG, killed in action.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1913 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was Private Secretary to Walter Runciman, Privy Counsellor between 1913 and 1914.2 He gained the rank of Adjutant in the Royal Field Artillery.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.2

     Charles Ughtred John Kay-Shuttleworth, 4th Baron Shuttleworth was born on 24 June 1917.1 He was the son of Hon. Edward James Kay-Shuttleworth and Sibell Eleanor Maud Adeane.1 He married Anne Elizabeth Phillips, daughter of Colonel Geoffrey Francis Phillips and Pamela Frances Ada Ridley, on 5 November 1947.1 He died on 5 October 1975 at age 58.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded twice and was invalided.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Major in 1939 in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Kay-Shuttleworth [U.K., 1849] on 17 November 1942.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Shuttleworth, of Gawthorpe, County Palatine of Lancaster [U.K., 1902] on 17 November 1942.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire in 1944.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1953 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire in 1956.1

     Maj.-Gen. William Birchall Macaulay King was the son of Colonel Frank King. He married Selina Adine Bridgeman, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hon. Francis Charles Bridgeman and Gertrude Cecilia Hanbury, on 31 January 1920.1 He died on 22 June 1950.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.D.)2

     Colonel Bernard Ramsden James was born on 26 February 1864.1,2 He was the son of John Henry James and Jane Ramsden Ashworth.1 He married Hon. Angela Mary Kay-Shuttleworth, daughter of Ughtred James Kay-Shuttleworth, 1st Baron Shuttleworth and Blanche Marion Parish, on 30 December 1899.1 He died on 30 April 1938 at age 74.3
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.4 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.4 He was an instructor between 1894 and 1899 at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.4 He was with the Intelligence Branch, War Office between 1899 and 1904.4 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Buckinghamshire.5 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Buckinghamshire.6 He gained the rank of Major in 1903 in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.4 He was Military Attache to Washington between 1907 and 1911.4 He retired from the military in 1911, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in dispatches.4 He lived at Lane End, Buckinghamshire, England.6

     She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire in 1934.1 She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1949.1 She was member of the Lancashire County Council Records Committee and Lancashire County Magistrates Committee in 1952.1
