     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Coats, of Auchendrane, Ayrshire [U.K., 1905] on 26 October 1966.² He lived in 2003 at Birchwood House, Durford Wood, Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Ian Charles James Coats was born on 18 November 1919.¹ He was the son of Sir James Stuart Coats, 3rd Bt. and Lady Amy Gwendoline Gordon-Lennox.² He married Irka Brennan.¹ He died on 27 January 1959 at age 39 at Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.^G, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Irish Guards.¹

     Lukyn Gordon was the daughter of Captain Charles Gordon and Honoria Adeline Malcolm.² She married Captain Sir Alastair Francis Stuart Coats, 4th Bt., son of Sir James Stuart Coats, 3rd Bt. and Lady Amy Gwendoline Gordon-Lennox, on 6 February 1947.¹ She died on 19 October 2006.³
     Her married name became Coats.

     Captain Charles Gordon lived at Birchwood, Duford Wood, Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Alexander James Coats, 5th Bt. was born on 6 July 1951.¹ He is the son of Captain Sir Alastair Francis Stuart Coats, 4th Bt. and Lukyn Gordon.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 5 Bina Gardens, London, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Coats, of Auchendrane, Ayrshire [U.K., 1905] on 13 October 2015.

     Archibald David Samson Lloyd is the son of David Lloyd.¹ He married Sarah Mary Coats, daughter of Captain Sir Alastair Francis Stuart Coats, 4th Bt. and Lukyn Gordon, on 29 May 1976.¹

     Katherine Mary Lloyd was born on 11 January 1978.¹ She is the daughter of Archibald David Samson Lloyd and Sarah Mary Coats.²

     Amy Constance Lloyd was born on 6 January 1981.¹ She is the daughter of Archibald David Samson Lloyd and Sarah Mary Coats.^1,2
