Sir Philip Wigham Richardson, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Philip Wigham Richardson, 1st Bt. was born on 26 January 1865.1 He was the son of John Wigham Richardson and Marian Henrietta Thol.1 He married, firstly, Ross America Colorado, daughter of General Celestino Colorado, on 6 April 1891.1 He and Ross America Colorado were divorced in 1909.1 He married Bertha Anne Greenley, daughter of John Edward Greenley, on 27 November 1909.1 He died on 23 November 1953 at age 88.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1886 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1889 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenat-Colonel in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) on 1 January 1919.1 He was awarded the Royal Officers' Decoration (V.D.)1 He was appointed Knight on 25 June 1921.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Surrey, Chertsey Division from March 1922 to October 1931.1 He was created 1st Baronet Richardson, of Weybridge, co. Surrey [U.K.] on 26 July 1929.1

     From 6 April 1891, her married name became Richardson.1

     John Wigham Richardson was born on 7 January 1837.1 He was the son of Edward Richardson and Jane Wigham.1 He married Marian Henrietta Thol, daughter of James P. Thol, on 12 April 1864.1 He died on 15 April 1908 at age 71.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Hindley Hall, Stocksfield, Northumberland, England.1
