     Sir Joseph Benedict Everard Henry Radcliffe, 6th Bt. was born on 10 March 1910.1 He was the son of Sir Everard Joseph Radcliffe, 5th Bt. and Marguerite Magdalen Ashton Case. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Butler, daughter of Gilbert Butler, on 10 April 1937.1 He and Elizabeth Butler were divorced in 1968.1 He married, secondly, Marcia Anne Helen Turville-Constable-Maxwell, daughter of Major David Turville-Constable-Maxwell and Mary Alethea Elizabeth Evelyn Turville-Petre, on 27 November 1968.2 He died on 7 February 1975 at age 64 at Switzerland.1
     Sir Joseph Benedict Everard Henry Radcliffe, 6th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Everard.3 He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1936 in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Bermuda between 1936 and 1939.1 He fought in the Second World War, he was held as a Prisoner of War (P.O.W.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Riding, Yorkshire in 1960.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Radcliffe, of Milnesbridge House, co. Yorkshire [U.K., 1813] on 23 November 1969.1

     Elizabeth Butler is the daughter of Gilbert Butler. She married Sir Joseph Benedict Everard Henry Radcliffe, 6th Bt., son of Sir Everard Joseph Radcliffe, 5th Bt. and Marguerite Magdalen Ashton Case, on 10 April 1937.1 She and Sir Joseph Benedict Everard Henry Radcliffe, 6th Bt. were divorced in 1968.1
     From 10 April 1937, her married name became Radcliffe.1
