Angus Murray Sladen was born in 1950.2 He is the son of S/Ldr. Algernon Ivan Sladen and Dorviegelda Malvina MacGregor. He married Sarah Miranda Hayter, daughter of John William Hayter and Belinda Mary Walford, on 28 October 1989.1
