Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw1

     Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw was the son of Thomas FitzMaurice.1 He married, firstly, Una MacMahon, daughter of Teige MacMahon.1 He married, secondly, Amy Mac-I-Brien-Ara, daughter of Turlogh Mac-I-Brien-Ara, after 1529.1 He died in November 1541, while attending Parliament.2
     He is said to have aided James FitzMaurice, heir of the Earldom of Desmond, and committed various depradations to aid James.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] in 1510.1

     Una MacMahon is the daughter of Teige MacMahon.1 She married Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, son of Thomas FitzMaurice.1
     Her married name became FitzMaurice.1

     Amy Mac-I-Brien-Ara was the daughter of Turlogh Mac-I-Brien-Ara.1 She married, firstly, James FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 10th Earl of Desmond, son of Maurice FitzThomas FitzGerald, 9th Earl of Desmond.1 She married, secondly, Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, son of Thomas FitzMaurice, after 1529.1
     Her married name became FitzGerald.1 From after 1529, her married name became FitzMaurice.1

     Edmond FitzMaurice was born circa 1514.1 He was the son of Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Una MacMahon.1 He married Catherine Zouche, daughter of Sir John Zouche and Elizabeth St. John.1 He died in 1541, without male issue.1
     He is listed by Cokayne as the 10th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, but Burkes shows him dead before his father.1
