Louis Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone and Gwendoline Mary Elizabeth Talbot.1 He married, firstly, Peggy Marais, daughter of Rupert Marais, on 27 July 1927.2 He and Peggy Marais were divorced in 1936.2 He married, secondly, Louise Chalkley, daughter of Guy Chalkley, in 1936.2 He married, thirdly, Betty Cooper, daughter of Michael Cooper, on 26 April 1951.2 He and Betty Cooper were divorced in 1959.2 He married, fourthly, Elsa Ann Buchanan, daughter of Major James Eland Buchanan, in 1960.2
