     Thomas Frank Dermot Pakenham, 8th Earl of Longford was born on 14 August 1933 at London, England.3,4 He is the son of Sir Francis Aungier Pakenham, 7th Earl of Longford and Elizabeth Harman.1 He married Valerie Susan McNair Scott, daughter of Major Ronald Guthrie McNair Scott and Hon. Mary Cecilia Berry, on 23 July 1964.3
     Thomas Frank Dermot Pakenham, 8th Earl of Longford succeeded to the title of 8th Earl of Longford in 2001.1
