     Alexander Fitton was the son of William Fitton and Eva Trevor.1 He married Anne Jollife, daughter of Thomas Jollife, circa 1655.1 He died in November 1698 at St. Germans, Cornwall, England.1
     He held the office of Lord Chancellor of Ireland from 1686 to 1690.1 He was created 1st Baron Fitton of Gawsworth [England] on 1 April 1689, Jacobite.1
