     General Sir Arthur Singleton Wynne was born on 5 March 1846.2 He died on 6 February 1936 at age 89.2
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)3 He was commissioned in 1863 with the rank of officer, in the service of the 51st Regiment of Foot.2 He fought in the Second Anglo-Afghan War in 1878.2 He fought in the Sudan Campaign in 1885.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.2 He was Deputy Adjutant-General to the Forces on 14 May 1902.2 He was General Officer Commanding of the 10th Division in 1904.2 He held the office of Military Secretary in 1906.2 He held the office of Keeper of the Jewel House between 1911 and 1917.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Westmoreland.2
