     Colonel Henry Alexander Vincent was born on 29 May 1846.² He was the son of Colonel Henry Torrens Vincent and Elizabeth Hamilton.² He married Jane Beatrice Houison-Craufurd, daughter of Colonel John Reginald Howison Craufurd of Carufurdland Castle and Mary Dundas Hamilton, on 25 April 1878.¹ He died on 14 June 1914 at age 68.²

     Jane Beatrice Houison-Craufurd was born on 6 July 1853.² She was the daughter of Colonel John Reginald Howison Craufurd of Carufurdland Castle and Mary Dundas Hamilton.² She married Colonel Henry Alexander Vincent, son of Colonel Henry Torrens Vincent and Elizabeth Hamilton, on 25 April 1878.¹ She died on 23 December 1917 at age 64.²
     From 25 April 1878, her married name became Vincent.¹
