     Henry Clay was born on 4 October 1825 at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Clay and Elizabeth Leigh.1 He married Mary Louisa Boden, daughter of Henry Boden, on 25 August 1863.1 He died on 3 March 1921 at age 95 at Piercefield, Monmouthshire, Wales.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1848 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1851 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Monmouthshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire.1

     Charles John Clay was born on 21 August 1828 at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Clay and Elizabeth Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Agnes Lucy Arden, daughter of Reverend Thomas Arden and Isabella Mary Cooper, on 6 July 1869 at Tatenhill, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Teasdale Smith, daughter of Mark Smith, on 6 September 1883.1 He died on 14 April 1910 at age 81 at Holly Bush, Newborough, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.1
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.1 He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1851 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was admitted to Inner Temple on 30 April 1855 entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.1

     Caroline Elizabeth Clay was born in 1831.1 She was the daughter of Henry Clay and Elizabeth Leigh.1 She married Reverend Walter Baskerville-Mynors on 3 April 1856.1 She died on 3 October 1922.1
      From 3 April 1856, her married name became Baskerville-Mynors.1
