     George Ambler Thomas was born on 2 July 1903.2 He was the son of Henry Francis Thomas and Kathleen Ambler.2 He married Marjorie Mallinson Sadler, daughter of H. G. Sadler, in 1936 at Westminster, London, England.1,2 He died on 26 May 1940 at age 36 at Calais, France.1,3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.1
