Eustace Rattray, 3rd of Rattray is the son of Sir Thomas Rattray, 2nd of Rattray and Christian (?).2
He fought in the Battle of Dunbar in 1296, where he was captured and taken prisoner to England.1 After his release, he ignored his excommunication by the Dean of Dunkeld for causing his men to lay violent hands on some of the lay brothers of Coupar Abbey.2 In 1302 he made amends to the Abbot of Coupar and was reconciled to the Church.2
