     William Shaw was born circa 1651 at Hampshire, England.2 He is the son of Captain William Shaw and Ann Sankey.1 He married Elizabeth Ponsonby.1 He died in 1734.
     He lived at Hampshire, England.3 He fought in the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. He gained the rank of Captain in the Michelburn's Foot.3
