     Lt.-Col. Herbert Frederick Edgar Smith was the son of F. E. Smith.1 He married Hon. Moira Violet Maria Plunket, daughter of William Lee Plunket, 5th Baron Plunket of Newton and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, on 30 January 1923.1 He died on 25 June 1940.1
     He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 60th Rifles.1

     Charles Stanley Lucas Whidborne was the son of Reverend George F. Whidborne.1 He married Hon. Joyce Laline Plunket, daughter of William Lee Plunket, 5th Baron Plunket of Newton and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, on 2 February 1921.1 He died on 6 July 1961.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 14th Hussars.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)1
