     He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Bomber Command.3 He fought in the Second World War.1

     Lt.-Cdr. Godfrey Woodbine Parish was born in 1919.2 He was the son of Clement Woodbine Parish and Elsie Mary Bonham Christie.3 He married Hon. Irene Elizabeth-Ann Mason, daughter of Lt.-Col. Glyn Keith Murray Mason, 2nd Baron Blackford and Grace Ellinor Keen, on 11 April 1942.1 He died in 1973.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Fleet Air Arm.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1
