     Lt.-Gen. William George Cochrane was born circa 1788.1 He was the son of Thomas Cochran and Jane Allan.1 He died in 1858 at London, England, unmarried.2
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 13 February 1805 in the 40th (Second Somersetshire) Regiment of Foot.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 29 May 1806.2 He fought in the Peninsular Wars between 1809 and 1812.2 He gained the rank of Captain on 11 August 1812.2 He fought in the War of 1812.2 He gained the rank of Major on 17 March 1814.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 15 July 1823.2 He gained the rank of Colonel on 28 July 1838.2 He was Deputy Adjutant-General in Ireland on 11 December 1846.2 He gained the rank of Major-General on 11 November 1851.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General on 26 September 1856.2

     Rt. Rev. John Inglis was born in 1776 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.1 He was the son of Dr. Charles Inglis and Margaret Crooke.1 He married Elizabeth Cochran, daughter of Thomas Cochran and Jane Allan, in 1803.1 He died on 27 October 1850.1 He was buried at St. Mary's Churchyard, Battersea, London, England.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Bishop of Nova Scotia in 1825.1
