     Oliver Robin Bagot was born in 1914.1 He was the son of Henry Melville Gaskell and Dorothy Bagot.1 He married Annette Dorothy Stephens, daughter of Commander F. R. Stephens, in 1938.1 He died on 29 January 2000.2,3
     Oliver Robin Bagot was baptised with the name of Oliver Robin Gaskell.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 On 1936 his name was legally changed to Oliver Robin Bagot by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 4th Battalion, Border Regiment (Territorial Army).1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was taken Prisoner of War.1 He was decorated with the award of Territorial Decoration (T.D.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Westmorland in 1948.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland in 1967.1 He lived in 1999 at Levens Brow, Kendal, Cumberland, England.1
