     Lt.-Col. Arthur de Vere Capell, Viscount Malden was born on 22 July 1826 at London, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Arthur Algernon Capell, 6th Earl of Essex and Lady Caroline Janetta Beauclerk.3 He married Emma Martha Meux, daughter of Sir Henry Meux, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Smith, on 23 January 1853 at London, EnglandG.2 He died on 10 March 1879 at age 52 at London, EnglandG.2
     He was styled as Viscount Malden between 1839 and 1879.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Horse Guards.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Hertfordshire Yeomanry Cavalry.2

     Emma Martha Meux was the daughter of Sir Henry Meux, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Smith.1 She married Lt.-Col. Arthur de Vere Capell, Viscount Malden, son of Arthur Algernon Capell, 6th Earl of Essex and Lady Caroline Janetta Beauclerk, on 23 January 1853 at London, EnglandG.2 She died on 22 November 1905 at London, EnglandG.2
     Her married name became Capell.

     Sir Henry Meux, 1st Bt. was the son of Richard Meux and Mary Brougham. He married Elizabeth Mary Smith, daughter of Thomas Smith.2
     He lived at Theobald's Park, Hampshire, EnglandG. He gained the title of 1st Baronet Meux, of Theobald's Park, Hampshire.
