     Richard Henry Rupert Bertie, 14th Earl of Lindsey was born on 28 June 1931. He is the son of Major Hon. Arthur Michael Bertie and Aline Rose Leslie. He married Norah Elizabeth Farquhar-Oliver, daughter of Mark Oliver and Norah Frances Sapphire Farquhar, on 5 January 1957.
     Richard Henry Rupert Bertie, 14th Earl of Lindsey succeeded to the title of 14th Earl of Lindsey on 11 September 1963. He succeeded to the title of 9th Earl of Abingdon, Berkshire [E., 1682] on 11 September 1963.

Charles Fox Maule Ramsay, son of John William Ramsay, 13th Earl of Dalhousie and Lady Ida Louisa Bennet, on 14 November 1919.1 She married, secondly, Major Hon. Arthur Michael Bertie, son of Montagu Arthur Bertie, 7th Earl of Abingdon and Gwendoline Mary Dormer, on 15 May 1929.1 She died on 5 July 1948.1
     From 14 November 1919, her married name became Ramsay. Her married name became Bertie.
