     Sir John Frederick Whitworth Aylmer, 9th Lord Aylmer was born on 23 April 1880.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Matthew Aylmer, 8th Lord Aylmer and Amy Gertrude Young.1 He married Emma Gertrude Black, daughter of Colin Black, on 3 July 1928.1 He died on 4 November 1970 at age 90, without issue.2
     He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Aylmer, of Balrath, co. Meath [I., 1662] on 11 June 1923.1 He succeeded as the 9th Lord Aylmer, Baron of Balrath, co. Meath [I., 1718] on 11 June 1923.1
