     Sir William St. Clair of Herdmanston was the son of John St. Clair of Herdmanston and Elizabeth Polwarth.2 He married Margaret (?).1 He died after January 1413.3
     Hill 1402 taken prisoner at English defeat of Scots at battle of Homildon.1 On 29 January 1401 had a charter of confirmation in his lands from Archibald, 4th Earl of Douglas (see QUEENSBERRY, M) /2.1
