Major John Shaw1

     Major John Shaw was born in 1748.1 He was the son of Aeneas Shaw of Tordarroch, 9th Chief of Clan Ay and Isabel Dallas.2 He died, killed on a voyage to the West Indies.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 68th Foot (Durham Light Infantry).1

Margaret Shaw1

     Margaret Shaw was the daughter of Aeneas Shaw of Tordarroch, 9th Chief of Clan Ay and Isabel Dallas.2 She married Farquhar MacGillivray of Dalcrombie.1 She died in 1833.1
     Her married name became MacGillivray.

     Sir Edward Henry Capel Cure was born on 27 June 1866 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Revered Edward Cure and Selwin Louisa Jane Selwin.1 He married Muriel Elizabeth Anna Louisa Dixwell-Oxenden, daughter of Sir Percy Dixwell-Oxenden, 10th Bt. and Isabella Finch-Hatton, on 16 July 1889 at Parish Church of St. George, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He died in December 1923 at age 57 at Pallanza, Milan, Italy.1

     He was one of the three officers of Mackintosh Regiment who escaped from Culloden.1

     Her married name became Shaw.

Aeneas Shaw1

     Aeneas Shaw was the son of Alexander Shaw of Tordarroch, 10th Chief of Clan Ay and Charlotte Stewart.2 He died in 1795 at West Indies, from yellow fever.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 39th Foot.1

Maj.-Gen. John Shaw of Tordarroch, 11th Chief of Clan Ay1

     Maj.-Gen. John Shaw of Tordarroch, 11th Chief of Clan Ay was born in 1769.2 He is the son of Alexander Shaw of Tordarroch, 10th Chief of Clan Ay and Charlotte Stewart.2 He married Anna Nesbitt, daughter of Andrew Nesbitt.2 He died on 21 October 1835.2
     He held the position of 11th Chief of the Clan Ay from.2 He held the position of 16th Chief of the Clan Shaw from.2 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1784 in the 42nd Foot (Black Watch).2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1787 in the 77th Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's Own).2 He fought in the War against Tippo Sahib between 1787 and 1805.3 He gained the rank of CAptain in 1796.3 He gained the rank of Major in 1805 in the 27th Foot (RIF) and 40th Foot (South Lancashire Regiment).3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1806 in the Veteran Battalion.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1814.3 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1821.3
