     He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Volunteer Battalion, Cheshire Regiment.1 He lived at Disley, Cheshire, England.1

     Sir Samuel Haslam Scott, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 August 1875.1 He is the son of Sir James William Scott, 1st Bt. and Anne Jane Haslam.2 He married, firstly, Carmen Estelle Heuer, daughter of Edmund Heuer, on 4 April 1905.1 He married, secondly, Nancy Lilian Anderson, daughter of William Charles Anderson, on 8 March 1920.1 He married, thirdly, Marion Dorothy Garnett, daughter of Charles Garnett, on 7 January 1937.1 He died on 23 June 1960 at age 84.1
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1900 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1902 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Westmorland.1 He was director of Provincial Insurance between 1913 and 1946.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Scott, of Yews, Undermillbeck, co. Westmorland [U.K., 1909] on 4 August 1913.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Westmorland in 1926.1

     Francis Clayton Scott was born on 6 August 1881.1 He was the son of Sir James William Scott, 1st Bt. and Anne Jane Haslam.2 He married Gwendolen Frieda Martha Jager, daughter of George Jager and Georgiana Morris, on 31 August 1911.1 He married Elsa Marion McNaughtan, daughter of Edward Dickson McNaughtan and Constance Marion Molyneux Sykes, in 1974 at Westmorland, England.3
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1903 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Westmorland in 1934.1 He was chairman of Provincial Insurance.1 He was founder and chairman of Brathay Hall Centre Ambleside.1

     George Jager was born in 1845 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.2 He was the son of George Jager and Martha Briggs.2 He married, firstly, Drusilla Morris, daughter of Amos George Morris and Martha Richardson, in 1869 at Bourn, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He married, secondly, Georgiana Morris, daughter of Amos George Morris and Martha Richardson, on 15 January 1876.2 He died on 9 July 1903 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.2
     He was a sugar refiner.2 He lived at Lingdale, Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.1
