     Sir Edward Moseley was born circa 1569.1 He was the son of Sir Nicholas Mosley and Margaret Whitbroke.2 He died on 1 July 1638, unmarried.1
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He purchased Manor of Rolleston, Staffordshire.1 He was appointed Knight in 1614.1 He held the office of Attorney-General of the Duchy of Lancaster.1

     Anthony Moseley was born circa 1537.1 He was the son of Edward Moseley and Margaret Elcock.2 He married Alice Webster, daughter of Richard Webster.1 He died on 25 March 1607.1
     He purchased Ancoats from John Byron, 1st Baron Byron of Rochdale.1 He had four younger sons and a daughter.1
