      From 26 April 1871, her married name became Kingsmill. From 2 February 1910, her married name became Pember.

     William Howley Kingsmill was born in 1838 at Lambeth Palace, Surrey, England.² He married Constance Mary Portal, daughter of Sir Wyndham Spencer Portal, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Hicks-Beach, on 26 April 1871 at Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He died on 25 April 1894.
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He lived at Sydmonton Court, Sidmonton, Hampshire, England.¹

     Eleanor Jane Portal was the daughter of Sir Wyndham Spencer Portal, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Hicks-Beach.² She married Chaloner William Chute on 6 April 1875.¹ She died on 26 March 1944.¹
