     Sir John Stuart Agnew, 3rd Bt. was born on 16 September 1879 at Eccles, Lancashire, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Sir George William Agnew, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Bolton.¹ He married Kathleen White, daughter of Isaac William Hewitt White, on 14 April 1910.¹ He died on 27 August 1957 at age 77.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Suffolk Yeomanry (Territorial Army.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of West Suffolk.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Suffolk.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Agnew, of Great Stanhope Street, London [U.K., 1895] on 19 December 1941.¹

     Kathleen White was the daughter of Isaac William Hewitt White.¹ She married Sir John Stuart Agnew, 3rd Bt., son of Sir George William Agnew, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Bolton, on 14 April 1910.¹ She died on 5 May 1971.¹
     Her married name became Agnew.
