     Henrietta Marion Elphinstone-Dalrymple was born on 21 October 1824.1 She was the daughter of Sir Robert Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone of Horn and Westhall, 1st Bt. and Graeme Hepburn.1 She was baptised on 6 November 1824 at Chapel of Garioch, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 She married Thomas Coats Leslie, son of William Leslie, 10th of Warthill and 8th of Folla and Jane Davidson.2
     Her married name became Leslie.2

     Jane Russell was the daughter of Francis Russell.1 She married Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman, on 1 August 1811.1 She died in August 1819.1
     From 1 August 1811, her married name became Ramsay.1

     He gained the rank of officer in 1844 in the Madras Army.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1856 in the Madras Army.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1862 in the Madras Army.1 He served in the Turkish Contingent in 1865.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1875 in the Madras Army.1 He gained the rank of Major General in 1876 in the Madras Army.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1879 in the Madras Army.1

     Sir George Dalhousie Ramsay was born on 23 May 1828.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Elizabeth Maule.1 He married Eleanor Julia Charteris Crawfurd, daughter of John Crawfurd, on 23 April 1864.1 He died on 16 January 1920 at age 91.1
     He wrote the book The Panmure Papers, published 1846.1 He was with the War Office between 1846 and 1893.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1882.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1900.1
