     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire.¹ He was appointed Knight.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the Borough of Leicester between 1900 and 1906.¹ He was president of the Surveyor's Institution in 1901.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Hertfordshire between 1910 and 1916.¹ He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)¹

     Catherine Adshead was the daughter of Charles Adshead.¹ She married Sir John Fowke Lancelot Rolleston, son of Reverend William Lancelot Rolleston and Mary Sophia Fowke, on 23 September 1874.¹ She died on 1 June 1891.¹
     From 23 September 1874, her married name became Rolleston.¹

     Charles Adshead lived at Brighton, Sussex, England.¹

     Eliza Morant is the daughter of George Morant.¹ She married Sir John Fowke Lancelot Rolleston, son of Reverend William Lancelot Rolleston and Mary Sophia Fowke, on 30 June 1892.¹
     From 30 June 1892, her married name became Rolleston.¹
