     Henry Carey was the son of George Saville, 1st Marquess of Halifax. He died on 4 October 1743, (allegedly by suicide) , with three other children:.1
     Henry, Lord Eland, born /1, educ Ch Ch Oxford, married 10 June 1684 Esther/Hester (died 1694), daughter of Charles de la Tour, Marquis de Gouvernet, a Huguenot, but died without issue & vp, buried 11/22 Oct 1687), a youngest son (George, born 1667.1 Versifier, author of ‘Sally in Our Alley', also ‘Namby Pamby' (a burlesque upon the now forgotten poetaster Ambrose Philips but thought worthy of inclusion by Dwight Macdonald in his anthology of parodies, still the standard work of its kind), als.1

     Edmund Kean was born on 4 November 1787.1 He was the son of Anna Carey. He married Mary Chambers on 17 July 1808 at Stroud, Gloucestershire, England.1,2 He died on 15 May 1833 at age 45, with an elder son (Howard, born 8 Oct 1811, died c 1813):.1
     Actor, notably of Shakespeare roles, as which he made his name playing Shylock (ironically in view of the financial help with his educn given him by a Jew.)1
