     Sir Edward Maynard des Champs Chamier was born on 4 June 1866 at India.2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Stephen Henry Edward Chamier and Annie Maria Caroline Johnstone.2 He married Alice Mary Cobb on 2 October 1894.2 He died on 17 November 1945 at age 79.2
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)1

     Brigadier George des Champs Chamier was the son of Sir Edward Maynard des Champs Chamier.2 He married Marion Erica Gascoigne, daughter of Lt.-Col. Cecil Claud Hugh Orby Gascoigne and Eva Marion Munro of Foulis, in 1934.1 He died in 1987.
     He gained the rank of Brigadier in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
