Lt.-Col. George Frank Brooke was born on 30 October 1878.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Francis Theophilius Brooke and Alice Mary Moore.1 He married Theodora Olivia Jackson, daughter of Richard Meredith Jackson, on 12 June 1907.1 He died on 20 November 1966 at age 88.1
Lt.-Col. George Frank Brooke fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was wounded.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Connaught Rangers.1 He was decorated with the Companion of the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) (with two bars) in 1917.1 He lived at West Byfleet, Surrey, England.
