     Lt.-Col. Eion James Henry Merry was the son of Archibald William Merry and Hon. Ida Helen Lizzie Chetwynd.² He married Jean Trefusis Crichton, daughter of Hon. Arthur Owen Crichton and Katherine Helen Elizabeth Trefusis, on 15 May 1933.³ He died on 23 September 1966.²
