     Francis Horner Lyell was born on 11 February 1852.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner.² He married, firstly, Emily Guise, daughter of Francis Guise, on 12 August 1879.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Nicholson, daughter of Captain unknown Nicholson, on 13 March 1889.¹ He died on 24 June 1934 at age 82.¹

     Francis Guise lived at Dean Hall.¹

     Emily Guise was the daughter of Francis Guise.² She married Francis Horner Lyell, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner, on 12 August 1879.¹ She died in 1887.¹
     From 12 August 1879, her married name became Lyell.

     Arthur Henry Lyell was born on 26 November 1853.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner.² He married Florence Chambers, daughter of David Chambers, on 11 July 1883.¹ He died on 1 January 1925 at age 71.¹

     Florence Chambers was the daughter of David Chambers.² She married Arthur Henry Lyell, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner, on 11 July 1883.¹ She died on 22 July 1938.¹
     From 11 July 1883, her married name became Lyell.

     Rosamond Frances Anne Lyell was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner.² She died on 21 December 1901, unmarried.¹

     Jane Crawford Allan married William Macfie, son of Robert Macfie of Langhouse and Agnes Fairrie, on 20 March 1867.¹ She died on 17 March 1917.¹
     From 20 March 1867, her married name became Macfie.¹

     Brigadier James Frederick Charles Mellor married Ann Hatton, daughter of W/Cdr. J. A. Hatton, before 1984.¹ He died before 1984.¹
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Charlotte Ellen Witherden married William Conley in 1857.¹
