     Sidney Cowper Philpot was baptised on 21 November 1844 at Canterbury, Kent, England.¹ He was the son of Jonathan Philpot and Hope Cirlin.¹ He married, firstly, Ellen Palmer Witherden, daughter of Charlotte Ellen Witherden, on 7 October 1865 at Ramsgate, Kent, England.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Ann Penhall in 1895 at Victoria, Australia.¹ He died on 11 June 1912 at age 67 at Moonee Ponds, Victoria, Australia.¹ He was buried on 13 June 1912 at Boroondara General Cemetery, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.²

     Ellen Palmer Witherden was born on 23 May 1847 at Margate, Kent, England.¹ She was the daughter of Charlotte Ellen Witherden.¹ She married, firstly, Sidney Cowper Philpot, son of Jonathan Philpot and Hope Cirlin, on 7 October 1865 at Ramsgate, Kent, England.¹ She died on 25 December 1910 at age 63 at Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.¹
      From 7 October 1865, her married name became Philpot.¹ She and James Robert Thackeray were associated.¹

     Geraldine Lushington was born in 1865 at Royston, Hertfordshire, England.² She was the daughter of Sir Henry Lushington, 3rd Bt. and Eliza Hannah Shelley.³ She died on 15 January 1937 at Royston, Hertfordshire, England, unmarried.^1,2

     Stephen Lushington was born on 12 December 1803.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Lushington, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Maria Lewis.² He married Henrietta Prescott, daughter of Admiral Sir Henry Prescott, in 1841.¹ He died on 28 May 1877 at age 73.¹
     He was Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).¹ Sir.¹ He was Adml, Supt Indian Navy, Commander-in-Chief S American station, Lt-Govr Greenwich Hosp, commander naval bde on shore capture Sebastopol, Kt St Louis the Redeemer, Kt Commander Legion Honour.¹

     Henrietta Prescott was the daughter of Admiral Sir Henry Prescott.² She married Stephen Lushington, son of Sir Henry Lushington, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Maria Lewis, in 1841.¹ She died on 22 September 1875.¹
     She was Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).¹ Her married name became Lushington.

     Henrietta Lushington was the daughter of Stephen Lushington and Henrietta Prescott.² She died on 15 December 1902, unmarried.¹

     Agnes Lushington was the daughter of Stephen Lushington and Henrietta Prescott.² She married Henry Kirke on 19 May 1864.¹ She died on 28 July 1916.¹
      Her married name became Kirke.

     Henry Kirke married Agnes Lushington, daughter of Stephen Lushington and Henrietta Prescott, on 19 May 1864.¹
     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) (d ) on 9 July 1925.¹
