     Thomas Wentworth, 5th Lord Wentworth was born on 2 February 1612/13.1 He was the son of Thomas Wentworth, 1st and last Earl of Cleveland and Anne Croftes.1 He married Philadelphia Carey, daughter of Colonel Ferdinand Carey and Philippa Throckmorton, before 11 March 1657/58.1 He died on 1 March 1664/65 at age 52.1
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in February 1625/26.1 He fought in the Bishops' Wars from 1639 to 1640, against the Scots.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire in 1640.1 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Wentworth [E., 1529] on 3 November 1640, in his father's lifetime.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Prince of Wales's Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Tipton Green on 11 June 1644.1 He fought in the Battle of Cropredy Bridge on 29 June 1644.1 He fought in the 2nd Battle of Newbury on 27 October 1644.1 He was Marshal of the Field, West Country in 1645.1 He fought in the Battle of Langport on 10 July 1645.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Bedchamber to King Charles II from 1649 to March 1664/65.1 He fought in the Battle of Worcester in 1651.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1654.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1656 in the Grenadier Guards.1 He gained the rank of Colonel from 1660 to March 1664/65 in the Grenadier Guards.1

     Philadelphia Carey was the daughter of Colonel Ferdinand Carey and Philippa Throckmorton.1,2 She married Thomas Wentworth, 5th Lord Wentworth, son of Thomas Wentworth, 1st and last Earl of Cleveland and Anne Croftes, before 11 March 1657/58.1 She died on 4 May 1696.1
     From before 11 March 1657/58, her married name became Wentworth.1

     Gelyn Quirijnssen married Aletta Carey, daughter of Colonel Ferdinand Carey and Philippa Throckmorton, on 29 November 1650.1
     He was a merchant at Middelburg, The Netherlands.1 In 1655 he was host to the exiled King Charles II, who knighted him.1

     Henrietta Maria Wentworth, Baroness Wentworth was born on 11 August 1660.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Wentworth, 5th Lord Wentworth and Philadelphia Carey.1 She died on 23 April 1686 at age 25, unmarried.1
     She and James Scott, 1st and last Duke of Monmouth were associated.1 She succeeded as the 6th Baroness Wentworth [E., 1529] on 1 March 1664/65, suo jure.1 She succeeded as the 11th Lord Despenser [E., 1387] on 1 March 1664/65, de jure.1

     Anne Wentworth, Baroness Wentworth was baptised on 29 July 1623.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Wentworth, 1st and last Earl of Cleveland and Anne Croftes.1 She married John Lovelace, 2nd Baron Lovelace of Hurley, son of Richard Lovelace, 1st Baron Lovelace of Hurley, on 11 July 1638.1 She died on 7 May 1697 at age 73.1
     From 11 July 1638, her married name became Lovelace.1 She succeeded as the 7th Baroness Wentworth [E., 1529] on 23 April 1686, suo jure.1 She succeeded as the 11th Lord Despenser [E., 1387] on 23 April 1686, de jure.1

     John Lovelace, 2nd Baron Lovelace of Hurley was the son of Richard Lovelace, 1st Baron Lovelace of Hurley. He married Anne Wentworth, Baroness Wentworth, daughter of Thomas Wentworth, 1st and last Earl of Cleveland and Anne Croftes, on 11 July 1638.1 He died on 14 November 1670.1
     He gained the title of 2nd Baron Lovelace of Hurley.

     Martha Lovelace, Baroness Wentworth was born circa 1667.1 She was the daughter of John Lovelace, 3rd Baron Lovelace of Hurley and Martha Pye.1 She married Sir Henry Johnson on 11 March 1692/93.1 She died on 18 July 1745, without issue.1
     From 11 March 1692/93, her married name became Johnson.1 She succeeded as the 8th Baroness Wentworth [E., 1529] on 7 May 1697, suo jure.1 She succeeded as the 12th Baroness Despenser [E., 1387] on 7 May 1697, de jure.1

     Sir Henry Johnson married, firstly, Ann Smithson on 20 May 1686.2 He married, secondly, Martha Lovelace, Baroness Wentworth, daughter of John Lovelace, 3rd Baron Lovelace of Hurley and Martha Pye, on 11 March 1692/93.1 He died on 29 September 1719.1
     He lived at Friston Hall, Suffolk, EnglandG.1

     Hon. Margaret Lovelace was born circa 1644.1 She was the daughter of John Lovelace, 2nd Baron Lovelace of Hurley and Anne Wentworth, Baroness Wentworth.1 She married Sir William Noel, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Varney Noel, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Dixie, on 30 October 1660.1 She died on 14 April 1671.1
     From 30 October 1660, her married name became Noel.1

     Sir Varney Noel, 1st Bt. was the son of unknown Noel. He married Elizabeth Dixie, daughter of Sir Wolstan Dixie.1 He died in 1670.1
