Lt.-Gen. Sir George Thomas Napier was born on 30 June 1784. He was the son of Colonel Hon. George Napier and Lady Sarah Lennox. He married, firstly, Margaret Craig, daughter of John Craig and Sarah Stark, on 28 October 1812. He married, secondly, Frances Dorothea Blencowe, daughter of Robert Willis Blencowe and Penelope Robinson, in 1839.2 He died on 8 September 1855 at age 71.3
He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).4

Randall Edward Plunkett, 14th Lord Dunsany was born on 5 September 1804.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Wadding Plunkett, 13th Lord Dunsany and Hon. Charlotte Louisa Lawless.2 He married Elizabeth Evelyn, daughter of Lyndon Evelyn, on 29 December 1838.1 He died on 7 April 1852 at age 47, without issue.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Drogheda between 1835 and 1837.1 He succeeded to the title of 14th Lord Dunsany [I., c. 1462] on 11 December 1848.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between 1850 and 1852.1
