     He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk from 1653 to 1654.2 He was created 1st Baronet Cordell [England] on 22 June 1660. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury in 1662.2 He lived at Melford Hall, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury in 1679.2
