Sir Francis Darwin was born on 16 August 1848 at Downe House, Downe, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Charles Robert Darwin and Emma Wedgwood.1 He married, firstly, Amy Richenda Ruck, daughter of Lawrence Ruck and Mary Anne Matthews, in 1874 at Marylebone, London, England.2 He married, secondly, Ellen Wordsworth Crofts in September 1883 at Headington, Oxfordshire, England.2 He married, thirdly, Florence Henrietta Fisher, daughter of Herbert William Fisher and Mary Louisa Jackson, on 3 March 1913 at Kensington, London, England.3,2 He died on 19 September 1925 at age 77.1
