Lachlan 'Mor' Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan1

     Lachlan 'Mor' Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan was the son of William Mackintosh, 15th of Mackintosh and Margaret Ogilvie.2 A contract for the marriage of Lachlan 'Mor' Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan and Agnes Mackenzie was signed on 11 May 1567.1 He died in 1606.1
     He held the position of 17th Chief of the Clan Chattan from in 1550.1 The forfeiture of 1550 was reversed in his favour.1 In 1560 he surrendered his lands into the hands of Mary, Queen of Scots and received a regrant of his lands in Lochaber and of the stewartry and bailiary of the whole Ldship of Lochaber.1

     Angus Mackintosh was the son of Lachlan 'Mor' Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan and Agnes Mackenzie.2 A contract for the marriage of Angus Mackintosh and Lady Jane Campbell was signed on 26 February 1585/86.1 He died in November 1593 at Padua, ItalyG.1
     On 1 January 1574/75 on his father's resignation, he obtained a charter from James VI of Glenroy, Glenlui, Moy Arracht and other lands.1 He lived at Torcastle, ScotlandG.1

Sir Lachlan Mackintosh, 17th of Mackintosh1

     Sir Lachlan Mackintosh, 17th of Mackintosh was born circa 1593.1 He was the son of Angus Mackintosh and Lady Jane Campbell.2 He married Anne Grant, daughter of Sir John Grant, 6th of Freuchie, in 1612.1 He died on 22 June 1622.1
     He held the position of 18th Chief of the Clan Chattan from in 1610.1 He was imprisoned by the Earl of Moray in Edinburgh, but was soon released as he was in the favour of King James VI/I.1 He was appointed Knight in 1616.1 In 1616 He entered into a feud with Cameron of Lochiel, and the following year he invaded Lochaber and compelled Lochiel to surrender.1 In 1622 he obtained a sword from the Prince of Wales, and a letter from the King to prosecute Lochiel with fire and sword.1

     Isabel Mackintosh was the daughter of Angus Mackintosh and Lady Jane Campbell.2 She married George Ross, 10th of Balnagowan, son of Alexander Ross, 9th of Balnagowan and Janet Sinclair.1 She died in March 1672.1
